Additional Information

Bookings will open when the 2027 event is confirmed.

Pack up your picnic basket, grab a couple of chairs and enjoy the thrill of this legendary open-air music event, set in the glorious Glastonbury Abbey grounds.

For over 30 years, Glastonbury Extravaganza (organised by the Eavis family of Glastonbury Festival), is a not to be missed, summer highlight for locals and visitors to our town. It’s a real occasion, with stage screens, beautiful water fountains, lights, candelabra, picnics, and a fireworks finale.

Over the years, the Musical Extravaganza has staged many incredible performances (we know, we’ve been to one or two!), including Texas, Madness, Paloma Faith, Madness, Paulo Nutini, George Ezra, Status Quo, Bryan Ferry, and Catherine Jenkins to name but a few.

Gates open at around 4.30pm and the music starts at 7pm. Regulars to the event like to make a real occasion of it and can be seen setting up tables with candlesticks and flowers, and sipping from champagne flutes (own alcohol is permitted), chatting and enjoying the atmosphere and ambience of the beautiful Abbey grounds.*Actual times may vary and will be confirmed closer to the event.

Parking in Glastonbury on Extravaganza day can be notoriously difficult, so why not book a seat on the Old Oaks coach? This way, you can leave the car behind, maybe have a glass or two of the local tipple with no worries about parking or traffic jams.

Tickets for the event will be available from the Glastonbury Abbey website or the Abbey shop and are expected to sell out quickly, as they always do.

Please note that there is a 2 night minimum stay for this weekend.
